What is the cost to be a Spectator? 

• At most USA venues, spectators will need to purchase a pass to enter.
• The usual fee is $20 plus processing if you buy online, or $25 plus processing if you buy at the event.
• Online registration closes at 5 pm Eastern Time on the Friday before the race.
• Kids 13 and under can spectate for free.
• There is no age limit for spectators. 

What do I get as a Spectator? 

• Spectators can watch many obstacles and see the start and finish lines to cheer on racers.
• You’ll have access to vendor tents, and hot food will be available for purchase on site.
• Enjoy music while you watch your friends and family take on the course from the festival grounds.
• There will be raffles, entertainment, spectator challenges, and even free muddy hugs from athletes. With all these perks, you might want to join the race next time!

Am I allowed on the race course? 

Access to the course and obstacles vary by location. Some ski mountains let you take a ski lift to watch obstacles at the top. At every event, the festival area is set up so you can see several obstacles as well as the start and finish lines, making it easy to watch your friends and family on the course. 

Do I need a Spectator Pass if my child is racing in the Kids' by Spartan event? 

Each Kids Race registration comes with two free Spectator Passes per family.

If you register one child, you’ll receive two free passes. If you register two children, you’ll still get two free passes.

You don’t need to register these spectators online. Just bring your kids to the event and check in at the Kids Race registration line to receive your two Spectator Passes. 

What can I bring to the event with me? 

Check the Athlete Guide or Event Page for your specific event for any special rules about what you can bring. In general, outside food and drinks, coolers, and tents aren’t allowed. Folding chairs and backpacks are fine to bring. 

How do I purchase a Spectator Pass online? 

1. Go to the race event page and click the "Register" button for the Spectator Pass. 
2. Log in to your Tough Mudder Tickets account or continue as a guest. 
3. Enter the name of the spectator who will use the pass. 
4. To buy more passes, use the drop-down menu under "Order Details." You can put multiple passes under one name or email. 
5. Review your order and finish by entering your credit card information. 

You can print your receipt and bring it to the Spectator Tent on race day to pick up your passes. No physical passes will be emailed or sent ahead of time.

Please note: Online Spectator Pass registration closes at 5 pm Eastern Time on the Friday before the race. After that, passes are only available in person on race day for $25 plus processing fees.
