What is Equinox Ultra Challenge?
A 12 hour virtual event from sun up to sun down. You will complete 5 mile laps of your own route which will be interspersed with challenges to test your physical and mental grit.
What time will the event start?
This event will start at 6am and will finish at 6pm GMT for all UK and Europe participants.
This event will start at 6am and will finish at 6pm Pacific Time for all US and Canadian participants.
What is the minimum age to take part?
You have to be 18 and over to take part at this challenge.
Is this a group event?
No, this is an individual event.
Can I run with a group of friends?
This isn’t a group event but if you wish to partake alongside friends or family, please make sure you are following current Government guidelines and are COVID safe.
Please be aware that each member is racing as an individual and this is NOT a relay.
What do I get with my entry?
You'll receive an event kit consisting of a unique finisher coin, BIB, and headband. You will also have access to a Digital finisher badge upon completion of the event to bask in the social media glory.
When do I receive my kit?
Kit will be shipped to the address you have provided during registration and it will be shipped early March.
How does it work?
You'll take on 5 mile loops on a course of your own design, starting and ending in your designated "pit area". After each lap, you’ll take on an 'obstacle' which you must complete before getting back out on your course. All laps and obstacles will be tracked on our leaderboard platform via your wearable fitness tracker and through photo or video uploads of obstacle completion.
How do I get access to the event and when will I receive additional information?
Two weeks out from the event you will receive a 'shopping list'. One week out from the event you will receive the event plan with access information. The day before the event there will be a rules briefing.
Do I have to track my laps?
You are NOT REQUIRED to track your laps if you don't want to. It will not affect the event kit you've purchased. However, if you want to be displayed on the leaderboard and be eligible for podium recognition, you need to track your progress after each lap. If you wish to track your progress then the tracking platform information will be emailed to you one week before the event in the event plan document.
We recommend you use STRAVA to record your laps, and you can use this with your phone, fitness tracker, or manually enter the information. It's free to create an account and easy to use.
How do I submit my results?
You will be informed how to submit your results in the event plan emailed one week before the event takes place.
